A naturally occurring signalling protein that stimulates cell growth, proliferation, differentiation, and wound healing through specific receptor activation.
Growth factors are signalling proteins that regulate cell growth, proliferation, differentiation, migration, and survival by binding to specific transmembrane receptors. Major families include VEGF (promoting angiogenesis), FGF (connective tissue growth), EGF (epithelial cell proliferation), PDGF (attracting repair cells), and TGF-beta (ECM production and immune regulation). Growth factors are central mediators of tissue repair. Research peptides modulate growth factor activity: BPC-157 upregulates VEGF expression, GHK-Cu stimulates production of multiple growth factors, and growth hormone (stimulated by CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin) increases IGF-1 production, the body's primary anabolic growth factor.
